|
Were you travelling on the M1 motorway on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 12? Detectives investigating an alleged robbery, which occurred on the southbound carriageway near junction 16, are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage. Between 3pm and 3.30pm, the driver of a white Toyota Prius was forced to stop by the driver of a black Range Rover. The occupants of the Range Rover exited the vehicle and approached the other driver, before allegedly threatening him and stealing items. Four men from South Yorkshire aged 28, 29, 32 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on police bail pending further enquiries. The M1 is a major route through the county and detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have captured either car travelling on the southbound carriageway just before the county border or who recorded any part of the incident on dash-cam. Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. Information can also be submitted online at Report | Northamptonshire Police and Giving information | Crimestoppers. Please quote incident number 25000664594 when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible.
